Website for the filmschool I attended a few years back. This is a dream project with an amazingly creative team.
With my plans to create a documentary about my father, and in exchange for the website I asked for their collaboration and help with the documentary.
The task was to renew their website as fast as possible. Some screenshots about their old website:
András Salamon fell in love with https://alfarental.hu/ and asked me to redesign their website based on their webpage.
I agreed because I knew their original website was created with Elementor, and I usually work with that editor in WordPress. We explored the idea to buy a template, but he liked alfarental’s structure so much, I decided to go with a custom website. It turned out that their elementor subscription was no longer supported, but the site’s web admin had licence for Breakdance, another visual editor for WordPress.
The challenge was to learn Breakdance AND create a website urgently, but Breakdance is intuitive and a great tool. I managed to learn it quickly and I used a bit of ai help for writing the code for the key feature, the interactive 6 card USP grid that was an important asset.
We talked about the school’s goals, the target audience and I worked on the structure that we finalized very early on. The preliminary text was written by ai, and we iterated versions together until we were happy with the content: putting the finaly copywriting together was a lot of back and forth dialogue with András, but I am very proud of the final result.
